This tutorial will show you how to check what's new in the Paint app in Windows 11.

The Paint app included in Windows 11 is a simple and powerful graphics editor with a range of uses. You can edit images quickly or create masterpieces with the tools in this app. Once you’re done, you’ll be able to save and share your files in almost any format.

Starting with Paint app version 11.2504.451.0 and higher for Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels on Windows 11, Microsoft is introducing a new welcome experience in Paint designed to help users discover and learn about the app’s latest and most useful features. This dialog provides a quick overview of what’s possible in Paint and serves as a helpful starting point for both new and returning users. You can close it anytime and revisit it later.

If you do not have the new welcome experience feature for what's new yet in the Paint app version above, then you can use the ViVeTool command below to enable it. You may need to check for the Paint app update in the Microsoft Store afterwards.

vivetool /enable /id:57571928

Reference:

Here's How:

1 Open the Paint app.

2 Click/tap on the What's new (megaphone) icon in the top-right corner of the toolbar. (see screenshot below)

If there's a blue dot above the What's new (megaphone) icon, then there are new features available you have not looked at yet.

3 You can now click/tap on a new or useful feature to see a quick overview about it, and Try it if wanted.

Once you look at a New feature, it will no longer have "New" on it.
