As the title said, I have some folder that I've downloaded and renamed before the download start, and I've forgot the "." at the end and now I've got Unspecified error 0x80004005 whenever I'm trying to remove it,

I've tried to redownload the folder but then it won't override it but rather just show me two folders even if I take one of them, I've heard it's basically explorer think the folder is still there or something.

Either way I've tried rmdir /q /s (or just remove it with the winrar trick) and it didn't worked,
Tried to restart, didn't worked,
Tried to use some app called Advanced renamer to rename the folder and it didn't worked,
Tried to change security group didn't work because it not let me even see it in the security tab,
Tried scanned the HDD for errors... didn't worked,

From the post here and more importantly here
They seemed to fix it by using other methods such as RemoveDirectory, but I'm a noob when it come to these and don't get the explanation,
Can someone help me out? even create the path for me so I could use these lines and just add the folder name in them?

It's basically located at
F:\Program Files\Downloads\Folder that ends with dot

Ofc if you know any other method or tool that can do that, please let me know,
Some said that bulkrename could do the trick but my other renamer tool didn't worked and Idk if bulkrename could do the trick either (nor sure if I'll know how to use it tbh).

To delete a folder named foldername. exactly as-is, you must use the extended path syntax, like this:

rmdir "\\?\C:\path\to\foldername."
The \\?\ prefix tells Windows to bypass the normal path-parsing rules — including the automatic stripping of trailing dots or spaces.

It's another download folder I'm using on a different drive,
It's not on C so Program Files doesn't really got any Windows security to it like C does

What is the whole part with the
del "\\?\c:\path_to_file_that contains a trailing space.txt "
From the post here btw?
Can I just write
del "\\?\F:\Program Files\Downloads\Folder Name "
In the CMD and it will work?

Maybe using something like “PowerRun” to open File Explorer with the highest privileges and then delete the folder

It's sort of like the example I've posted above before seeing your comment right?

Will this work??
rmdir "\\?\F:\Program Files\Downloads\Folder Name"
The path is
F:\Program Files\Downloads\FolderWithDot

Idk how to "convert" it into that CMD command you showed

I've tried to create the same folder and remove it,
It didn't worked, unless I didn't got you right

Only that said commend from the site seem to do the trick from what they said

See if FileKiller will see it

A Guy
Maybe using something like “PowerRun” to open File Explorer with the highest privileges and then delete the folder

Umm I will give these a try after trying these commands,
I rather not mess with apps Idk if there's something that can remove the file directly, consider that force deleter or my rename app didn't worked,

How can I use the PowerRun to remove the file actually?
They said there that PowerShell also did the trick I think

PowerRun allows you to open things like Regedit with the highest Privileges (Above admin privileges)

it appears obvious that you don’t want to give the folder name, which shouldn’t matter as it should have the same effect regardless of the name. Windows apparently just cant see that folder?
